WP Men Fall to Spring Arbor, 3-1

SALEM, Ore. - Warner Pacific tallied the first goal of the game, but gave up three in a loss to Spring Arbor University today in Salem.

It was the first ever meeting between the schools, and the Cougars from Michigan scored three unanswered goals to take the win.

Javier Sanchez put the Knights ahead in the 23rd minute, knocking in a goal after a pass from Kingsley Armah.

Spring Arbor responded quickly, scoring four minutes later as Janum Sailor shot took a deflection on its way past WP keeper Juan Inzunza.

The Cougars took a lead into halftime thanks to Morris Kamara's close range goal in the 37th minute.

The Knights played a strong second half, taking eight shots and forcing the Spring Arbor keeper into several saves but it was the Cougars that tacked on the insurance goal in the 69th minute.
