SALEM, Ore. - The confines of CE Jeffers Sports Center in Salem were unfriendly to the Warner Pacific volleyball team, as the Knights fell in straight sets to Corban in the CCC opener for both sides.
The first set was particularly unkind to WP, as the Knights could muster just five kills during the 25-15 loss.
Sets 2 and 3 were much more competitive, with the team hitting for 11 kills in each frame. Coach Nels Norquist has the ladies aggressive from the service line which resulted in four aces, but also seven errors which derailed momentum on several occasions.
Melisa Ljuca swung for a team high 11 kills, while
Haley Yoder added eight winners versus just one error.
Kealia Rosa touched up 24 assists.
