PORTLAND, Ore. – Warner Pacific won their first game in 2018 with a 6-0 rout of Mills College at the Eastside Timbers Soccer Complex today.
Ashley Giesbers and
Tear'Sa Krieger scored two goals each to lead WP to their highest scoring output since 2016.
Miki Dart and
Megan Getman also found the back of the net, scoring their first collegiate goals.
A pivotal moment came early in the second half with the score 2-0. A Mills player was fouled in the box, but WP keeper
Zoey Dahme saved the penalty try to keep the visiting Cyclones off the board.
WP out shot Mills 21-3, and earned 14 corner kicks compared to one for the Cyclones.
