Portland, Ore. – Eastern Oregon took advantage of a mistake-prone Warner Pacific team to earn a 3-0 sweep over the host Knights at CC Perry Gym today.
 
EOU swung for just two more kills than WPU on the night (32 to 30), but WPU committed 26 hitting errors compared to just 10 for the visiting Mountaineers.
 
The Mounties contributed to the disparity with to 9 total blocks.

The first set was close early on, with the score tied at 10-10 after a service ace from Haley Yoder. EOU pulled away from there, claiming set one 25-18.

Set two was all Eastern Oregon, as the Mounties scored the first nine points and never looked back. WPU's serve reception went missing and before it was found, the Knights found themselves down 21-3. A run of kills put WP into double-digit points, but the rally fell way short.

The Knights looked to avoid the sweep in set three and looked to make it happen when EOU service error made the score 23-23. However, two more errors from WP gave the set and match to EOU.

Melisa Ljuca led WPU with seven kills, with Haley Yoder adding five. Meghan Turner was solid in the back row, making 2 digs.

EOU's Hailee Ackerman led all players with 10 kills.
