Portland, Ore. | Warner Pacific hosted Carroll College on Friday morning at Eastside Timbers Sports Complex. The Knights fell 0-2 in the match.
The first twenty minutes of play remained equal as the Fighting Saints and the Knights battled, exchanging possession of the ball. As the Knights made a few changes at the halfway point of the first half, Carroll capitalized on them.
Â
In the 15
th minute, the Fighting Saints took a corner kick from the right side keeping the ball low and finding the foot of Charly Clements who sent it just past the feet of Keeper
Alyssa Guthrie. Fifty seconds later, Brenna Rohnkol sent a thru-ball to Katie Martin who was able to find the back corner of the net.
Â
After two quick goals, the Knights defense tightened and kept the Saints off the line for the remainder of the half.
Â
As the whistle blew for the second 45 minutes, frustration began to set in with the Knights and the game became more physical by both teams. As the Knights defense remained tight, the offensive side picked up momentum thanks to Senior
