Portland, Ore. | Warner Pacific (2-5, 2-2 CCC) hosted cross-town rival Multnomah (1-6, 0-4 CCC) under the lights of the Eastside Timbers Sports Complex on Saturday night. The Knights won the match 3-1.
The Knights seemed to use last week's 1-0 victory as fuel to come out hot as they were able to take the lead quickly with a 30-yard blast from Freshman
Kaitlin Hirasa for her first career goal for the Knights just ten minutes into the match.
Senior
Joie Lopez got her first goal of the season in the 17th minute off a dribble and shoot to make it a 2-0 lead for the Knights.
In the 33rd minute, Hirasa took a free kick that turned into an assist as Mikki Dart tapped the ball into the goal to take the Knights into halftime with a 3-0 lead.
The heat seemed to wear off in the second half for the Knights, as the ball stayed between the 18-yard-lines for the majority of the half before the Lions were able to weave their way through the Knight defense and bend a shot into the net with just 17-minutes left in the game to avoid the shutout.
The Knights will continue their two game win streak and look for their third as they host Northwest University this Friday at 7PM.
