Three Knights Score In Double-Digits in Win over Puget Sound

Tacoma, Wa. | Kadeem Strickland led all scorers with 23 points as he and the Warner Pacific Knights (4-2) defeated the Loggers of Puget Sound (1-2) 77-61 on Friday night.

The Knights scored in double figures; Strickland with 23, JD Esters with 14 and Kendall Watson with 10. Watson also grabbed 9 boards for WPU.

WPU was scalding hot from beyond the arc, shooting 40% on the night. Strickland led the three-point showing with 5, all in the first half; JD Esters and Kendall Watson each with two, while Morris Bethea, Charles Williams, Kaleb Tompkins and Jalen Ballard all contributed with one.

After exchanging buckets with the Loggers, the Knights figured out their offensive rhythm at the 15-minute mark of the first half and maintained the lead for the final 35 minutes of play.

WPU controlled the tempo of the game, managing to run set plays and also score off of the fast break. As a team, the Knights shot 50% from the field and 80% from the Free-Throw line.

The Loggers continued to fight and cut the lead within 15, but the Knight were able to keep the momentum and seal the victory.
