Strickland Scores 21 In Loss To Pacific Lutheran

Tacoma, Wa. | Kadeem Strickland led five Knights who scored in double-figures with 21 on Friday night as they closed out the MacArthur Classic, WPU fell to Pacific Lutheran 86-94.

For the second night in a row, Strickland sunk 5 three's for Warner Pac. The Junior, playing for a hometown team, is averaging 18.6 points per game, shooting 43% from the arc. Leading the team in both categories.

Four other Knights managed to reach double-figures; Charles Williams with 17, Kendall Watson and Miles Brown both with 14 and Jalen Ballard with 11 off the bench.

WPU led for the first 15 minutes of play, but after a few three's by the Lutes, PLU took and held the lead for the reaming 25 minutes. At the break, the Lutes lead 46-34.

Despite the offensive effort put up by WPU, the Knights' 2-3 zone defense couldn't stop the Lutes' shooting in the second half. PLU hit 15 threes and shot for 57% from the arc on the night, a season-high.

The Knights, who are now 4-3, will look to get a win just up the road at Linfield College on Tuesday. Tip-off is set for 5pm.
