Portland, Ore. | Warner Pacific picked up their second consecutive CCC victory on Friday afternoon against the Wolves of Walla Walla University. The Knights move to 5-7, 2-2 CCC heading into the last contest of 2019.

Courtney Jackson led the Knights in scoring with 22 points, shooting 6-6 from the foul line, followed by
Darbi Pink's 15 points.
Celeste Pantoja dished out 4 of the team's 15 assists.

The Knights came out swinging; holding the Wolves scoreless for five-and-a-half minutes, taking a quick 11-0 lead. The Wolves were finally able to find the bottom of the net and by the end of the first quarter, the Knights led 21-11.

After a low-scoring second quarter and the Knights' lead getting cut down to five, Jackson and Pink took over, combining for 11 of the team's 13 second-quarter points. Heading into the break, it was a 34-26 WPU lead.

Coming out of the locker room,
Gabriella Bruno sunk back-to-back jumpers to extend the lead to 10. Bruno, Jackson and Pink were the only Knights to score in the 3
rd quarter.

Nerves began to creep in and the crowd grew nervous in the 4
th quarter as the Knights went five-and-a-half minutes without a single point and WWU had come within eight. With just under 2:30 left to play the Knights led by two. As a team, Warner Pac shot 88.17% (15-17) from the stripe and sank four free-throws down the stretch to clinch the victory.

Pantoja led WPU in rebounds with 7.

WWU's Isabella Robles had 20 points, and 7 boards. Jacqueline Saucedo had 16 points and Jaliyah Casem had 15; the three combined for all but 5 of the Wolves' points.

The Knights will face off against WWU again on Saturday evening in their last game of the 2019 year. Tip-off is set for 6:30pm in CC Perry Gymnasium.
