Eugene, Ore. | Warner Pacific traveled south to Eugene in a non-conference matchup with the Deacons of New Hope Christian College on Thursday night. The Knights came back to Portland with a 111-67 victory.
Stephon Shaw led the Knights in scoring with 22 points while also grabbing seven boards. Shaw shot 5-12 from beyond the arc.
KJ Bosco followed closely behind him with 21 points and just one rebound shy of a double-double.
The Knights led for the entirety of the contest, never looking back. As their offense continued to roll and find the bottom of the bucket, Warner Pac took an 18-point lead heading into halftime.
As the second half took off, so did Shaw. The Junior managed to score 14 of his 22 in just twelve minutes of play. Shaw was 5-6 from the FT line.
The Knights outscored the Deacons in the paint 48-24 and shot 35.9% from the arc.
Warner Pacific will be back in action and CCC play next Friday as they host Eastern Oregon University at 7:30pm.
