Portland, Ore. | Despite a Warner Pacific second half surge, Corban University snuck a 78-65 win over the Knights on Friday night. The Knights move to 12-13 (9-8 CCC) while the Warriors move to 15-10 (11-6 CCC).

Darbi Pink led the Knights in scoring with 18 points. The Senior from Pasco, Washington moved into 5
th All-Time in scoring for the Knights with 1,036.

Corban's Jordan Woodvine came out with vengeance, determined to get revenge on the Knights who defeated the Warriors by 20 on January 11
th. Woodvine had 15 first quarter points as the Warriors went into the second quarter leading by 17.

After a more evenly matched up second quarter, the Knights stilled trailed by 16 at halftime.

After some major halftime adjustments and a defensive change up, the Knights rallied, starting the second half off with a 10-0 run and cutting the deficit to 6.
Courtney Jackson had all but two of the 10.

With the Knights' offense finally starting to settle, Warner Pac had rattled the Warriors. Keeping them on their toes, WPU continued to run plays through Jackson who had the hot hand in the third. With 19 seconds to go in the quarter,
Darbi Pink sunk a corner three and with just ten minutes to play, the Knights were down by six.

Yet again, it was clear Woodvine wouldn't go down without a fight, she came out on a 5-0 run to open the fourth quarter and the Warriors stretched the lead back out to 14.

The Knights weren't going down without a fight either – going on a 13-5 run, Warner Pac was down six with 2:09 remaining. Things cooled off for them in last two minutes of the game as they went 0-4 down the stretch and the Warriors closed out the contest with a 7-point Free-Throw run.

As a team, the Knights shot just 32% from the field and 31% from deep while the Warriors were 45% and 42%. Warner Pacific forced 27 Corban turnovers.

Gabriella Bruno and
Courtney Jackson both contributed 15 points for the team in Columbia Blue.

Jordan Woodvine led all scorers with 28 points and four rebounds and Shaelie Burgess finished with 21 points and 16 boards.

The Knights will close out their 2020 home campaign on Saturday night against CCC No. 1 Northwest Christian University for Senior Night. Tip-off at 5:30pm.
