Kadeem Strickland combined for 48 of Warner Pacific's 79 points in the Knights' victory over The Evergreen State College Geoducks on Friday night.
The contest remained tight for the majority of the night with the teams exchanging buckets and the lead. In what seemed to be a three-point shoot-out, the Geoducks got the best of the Knights in the first-half, heading into the break with a two-point lead.
Coming out of the break, senior
KJ Bosco nailed a 24-footer to regain the lead. Every time it seemed the Knights would gain momentum or a lead, Evergreen seemed to fire back and steal it. After a tight game for 30 minutes, the Warner Pacific began to pull away, claiming their biggest lead of the night at 13 with 11:17 to go thanks to a
Kadeem Strickland three.
The 7:18 mark in the second half was the start of a Geoduck 17-1 run that reclaimed the lead with just four minutes to play. The game had suddenly taken a turn to looking like the first twenty minutes; back-and-forth buckets and lead changes.
At the 2:21 mark, TESC led 73-72, then comes
Kadeem Strickland. The Portland native Junior went on a solo 7-0 run to take the lead with just :33 left sinking a deep three to put the Knights up by four. Warner Pac was able to hold off the Geoducks and walk away with a hard-fought and scary win.

Miles Brown was 3-4 from the charity stripe and 10-14 from the field.
LaBrandon Price led Evergreen in scoring with 23 while snagging seven boards.
Warner Pac will face off against Northwest University in Kirkland on Saturday with a tip-off scheduled for 7:30pm.
