The Rundown
Bushnell University came to play tonight, and did not give any breathing room to the Knights to end the night. As Bushnell won the first two sets, they went on to take a commanding victory in the third set, winning by 13 points.
The Knights hung in there with the Beacons in the second set, as Bushnell only won that by a margin of 6. The second set was back and forth from start to finish, there wasn't a run that exceeded 3 points in this set.
The third set started off very back and forth also, until the score was 12-14. From there, the Beacons proceeded to go on an 11-0 run to end the night and winning the last set 25-12. That Bushnell run was led by Jessica Northcutt and Natalie Martin, both with 3 kills each during that stretch. Bushnell's height advantage proved to be a big issue for the Knights tonight, totaling ten blocks for the day, led by Natalie Martin's six.
