PORTLAND, Ore.| Warner Pacific fell 4-0 to Corban in a contentious matchup on Saturday.
The game was a tale of two halves for the Knights.
The Knights were able to match the Warriors and keep them in check throughout the first half. The play was balanced and neither team had a clear possession advantage over the other. The Knights attempted four shots on the half compared to five for the Warriors.
The early back and forth resulted in a 0-0 tie at the half.
The early goings of the second half saw more evenly matched action. The tides turned in favor of Corban when Brin Wolvert received a red card in the 62nd minute as Corban was able to score one minute after her ejection.
The remainder of the second half was controlled by Corban. They scored three more times before the final horn sounded. The Knights could not get much going offensively either in the second half attempting only two shots.
The game saw some unusual card bookings as Maddie Goss and Justan Wolvert both received yellow cards from the bench.
The loss knocks the Knights to 4-6-1. Women's soccer will be back in action at home on October 7 against Multnomah.
