Knights Defeated in Three Sets by Evergreen

OLYMPIA, Wash.| Knights volleyball fought hard but fell in three straight sets in their match against Evergreen 25-12 25-19, 25-15.

The Knights went back and forth with the Geoducks to open the first set, with Evergreen holding an 8-7 lead. Evergreen took control of the rest of the set, going on a 17-4 run and preventing the Knights from scoring consecutive points.

Warner fought hard in the second set to keep the game close. The Knights fell to an early 6-0 deficit before rallying back to bring the game within two. Warner was able to counter Evergreen scoring runs and brought the set to 22-19 in favor of Evergreen. From there, the Geoducks were able to close out the set 25-19.

Evergreen was able to take the third set to close out the match. The Knights were able to cut into an early lead, but fell short of making a comeback, dropping the final set 25-15.

Standout performances for the Knights include Sabah Mohammady who led the team with 17 digs.

The loss drops the Knights to 1-12 on the season. Volleyball is back in action at home on October 14 against #5 Corban.
