SALEM, Ore.| The Knights fell in their non-conference matchup against Willamette 67-43 on Monday. 

The Bearcats were in control of the game from the jump. Willamette scored the first eight points of the game and ended up holding the lead for the entire game.  

Willamette continued to extend their early lead. The end of the first quarter saw the Knights trailing by 15, and by the end of the second quarter, Willamette extended their lead to 20. The Bearcats would maintain at least a 20-point lead until the final buzzer sounded. 

The Knights struggled maintaining possession of the ball. The Knights turned the ball over 33 times with Willamette recorded 22 steals. Those extra opportunities paid off for Willamette as they were able to score 35 points off of turnovers. 

The Bearcats were also able to control possession by getting the rebound advantage, outrebounding the Knights 40-34. 

The Knights were led offensively by Paityn Rhode who had 10 points. Alexa Mee scored seven points and hauled in 10 rebounds for the Knights. 

The loss puts the Knights at 0-2 on the season. Women's basketball is back in action on Saturday, Nov. 19 when they host George Fox at 2:00 p.m.
