Knights Celebrate First Home Game With Win Over Multnomah

PORTLAND, Ore.| A strong team showing gave the Knights a 79-70 victory in their first home game this season when they took on Multnomah on Tuesday.

Four of the five starters for the Knights ended up in double digit scoring in their matchup against the Lions.

The game started with a bang for the Knights as Caleb Tyree-Morgan found Dakota Reber for an alley-oop for the first points of the game.

The Knights carried a lead all the way through the first half, but the Lions kept the game within striking distance. Multnomah's Tyrese Taylor was a big part in the Lions keeping the game close. Taylor proved to be a very physical presence under the hoop, scoring from close range, hauling in rebounds, and finishing on second-chance points. At halftime Warner only held a two point lead.

Thomas Miles had another great game and was one of the reasons the Knights were able to maintain their lead through the first half. Miles led the team in scoring in the first half on 50% shooting from the field. Miles was also efficient from the charity stripe, knocking down all five of his free throws.

The second half saw more close action. The Knights extended their lead to 10 before Multnomah went on a 13-2 run to get their first lead of the game.

Dakota Reber helped the Knights close out the game against the Lions. The sophomore scored 15 points for the Knights to finish off his best offensive performance so far in the early season.

The Knights held off the Lions and came away with the 79-70 victory.

Top performances for the Knights include Dakota Reber who had a double-double, leading the team with 24 points and 12 rebounds. Thomas Miles also continued his impressive run this season, scoring 19 points and hauling in nine rebounds. Finally, Isaac Etter turned in another solid performance, recording 14 points, seven rebounds, and five assists.

The win puts the Knights at 3-2 on the season. Men's basketball is back in action on Dec. 2nd when they travel to take on Corban.
