LA GRANDE, Ore.| Warner Pacific women's soccer fell to Eastern Oregon University in their matchup on Saturday by a score of 1-0.
The Mountaineers got the game's only goal early on. A foul in the box by the Knights allowed Eastern Oregon's Erika Skindlov to attempt the ensuing penalty kick. Skindlov was able to find the back of the net for what would ultimately become the game's decisive goal.
After the early goal the Knights were able to tighten up defensively. Goalkeeper
Kate Pomerinke recorded five saves throughout the remainder of the game. The Knights weren't able to get much going offensively, however, attempting just three shots all game.
The loss drops the Knights to 3-4-1 overall and 0-2 in conference play. The Knights are in action again Sept. 23 in Montana against Carroll College.
