Box Score Portland, Ore.| Warner Pacific volleyball dropped their season opener in 3 sets to The Evergreen State College.
The Knights were slow out of the blocks to open the game. Evergreen took control and didn't look back during the first set, taking a lopsided 25-6 opener.
After the first set the Knights, led by new head coach
Kim Lissinna, regrouped and brought the attack to the Geoducks. While the Knights didn't win a set, they forced a much more competitive second and third set. The final two sets came out to 25-19, and 25-23 respectively.
The Geoducks attack was led by Zoe Shaw who ended the night with 14 kills. Top performances for Warner include
Tevlin Britten and JuJu Williams who both had 8 digs. Not far behind them was
Sabah Mohammady who had 7 digs on the night.
The Knights fall to 0-1 with the loss but have a chance to get their win back tomorrow, Sept. 3, when they take on Northwest University at home at 5 p.m.
