Olivia Stumetz and Kaitlin Hiarasa both scored two goals to help the Knights to a 4-2 victory over Bushnell on Friday.
The first half was evenly contested between the two teams. Six shots from Warner Pacific and four shots from Bushnell yielded each team a goal going into the half.
Kaitlin Hirasa scored her fourth goal of the year to get the Knights on the board while Bushnell responded with a goal from Dejah Wallot.
Olivia Stumetz scored her first goal of the afternoon in the 51
st minute to break the 1-1 tie. The goal was also first of the year for Stumetz.
The Knights held a 2-1 lead until the 60
th minute when Bushnell found the back of the net to even up the game once again. Warner was able to respond almost immediately as 30 seconds later Kaitlin
Hirasa struck for her second goal of the afternoon to give the Knights a 3-2 lead.
Before all was said and done Stumetz was able to score her second of the afternoon, an insurance goal in 80
th minute to bring the game to its final score, 4-2 in favor of the Knights.
The win snaps a three game skid for the team and brings their overall record to 4-5-1. Women's soccer is back in action at home on Oct. 1 when they play host to Corban University.
