PORTLAND, Ore.| The Knights were on the attack all game in their match against Soka University on Monday, where they came away with a commanding 4-0 victory.
The action got going quickly as Warner scored the opening goal a little over a minute and a half into the game. The shot came from senior midfielder
Miguel Andalon-Ordaz off of an assist from
Erik Mattice. The goal was the first of the season for Andalon-Ordaz.
Andrew Martinez sunk the next goal for the Knights in the 13
th minute. Not far behind was freshman
Nicholas Taugher, who scored his first goal of the season in the 16
th minute off an assist from
Andrew Martinez.
Martinez, who has been an offensive force to open the season, struck again midway through the second half to give Warner a 4-0 lead. The goal was his fifth of the young season.
The Knights dominated possession of the ball and were relentless in their attack all throughout the game. Warner let loose with 23 total shots, 17 of which were on goal. The Knights' defense kept up the pressure too, allowing only 6 shots the whole game, 3 of which were on goal.
The win puts the Knights at 3-0 on the season. They return to action on Friday Sept. 9 when they take on Pacific University at Eastside Timbers Complex at 7 p.m.
