Salem, Ore. | The Knights lost a tough one in Salem, Oregon against rival Corban University by a final result of 1-3
The Knights lone goal of the day was an absolute beauty coming in the 27
th minute. The Knights had earned a corner which
Alexi Howard took and kicked a beautiful ball into the box where Maddie Kramer was able to rise up and get her head on the ball and directed it into the back of the net. It was one of the best goals of the season for the Knights and was her first goal of the year.
Unfortunately, the Knights gave up three unanswered goals after they broke the ice with the first goal. The Knights were efficient with their shots shooting 7 total shots including 4 on goal. The Warriors were relentless in their attack shooting 19 shots including 14 on goal.
"We had a good start to the game," Head Coach, Justan Wolvert said. "Great goal off the corner from Kramer. We had momentum early and weren't able to sustain it. Once the game turned, we weren't able to get it back in our favor and we started pressing and stopped connecting on our passes. We'll need a more consistent performance tomorrow to get a much-needed win tomorrow night."
