Warner Pacific Loses to the Mountaineers

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – October 27th, 2023

Portland, Ore. | The Knights unfortunately dropped today's game to Eastern Oregon University by a final result of 4-0 at Eastside Timbers Complex this afternoon on a chilly Oregon day.

The Knights only put 3 total shots today and 2 shots on goal. Maddie Goss and Kiya Gramps were the ones who each had a shot on goal. Eastern Oregon had 26 total shots and 14 on goal in which 4 of them found pay dirt.

Knights goalkeeper, Litzy Gonzalez, gave up all 4 of the Mountaineers goals and had 10 saves along the way. Mountaineers' goalkeeper, Rylee Schei, didn't allow any goals and saved 2 shots.

"The work rate and effort were there today but we put ourselves in a bad spot conceding an early goal," Head Coach Justan Wolvert said. "We had some good sequences of play and defended bravely in front of goal but just weren't able to create enough chances to get back into the game."
