PORTLAND, Ore. | The Knights took care of business grabbing a much needed three points against Multnomah University in a 1-0 win for the Knights.
The Knights got the most important goal of the game; the first one, in the 31
st minute on a shot by
Shalece Easley for her 4
th goal of the season which leads the team. From there, the Knights were able to stand strong defensively for 59 excruciating minutes to hold Multnomah scoreless and come away with the 1-0 victory. The Knights played such good defense in fact that none of Multnomah's 9 total shots were on goal making an easy day for Knights goalkeeper,
Kate Pomerinke. The Knights were fairly efficient in their shot choices getting 5 shots on goal while only taking 9 total shots.
"Solid performance all the way around tonight in a very fun atmosphere," Head Coach, Justan Wolvert said. "We battled hard from start to finish and created enough chances to put the game away earlier. We need to be a bit more brave and clinical in front of goal. I'm very pleased with the work defensively. We're looking forward to the opportunity in front of us next weekend as each game becomes more important than the next."
