Knights Fall to #10 LC State in Season Finale

LEWISTON, Idaho| Warner Pacific women's basketball fell to the #10 ranked Lewis-Clark State on Saturday by a score of 79-35.

The Knights (3-24, 3-17) had their work cut out for them on Saturday, taking on one of the best teams in the NAIA in the form of Lewis-Clark State (26-2, 21-1) to close out the season.

Lewis-Clark State controlled the game from the start, jumping out to a big lead early on and keeping their foot on the gas throughout. The Knights were held to single digit points for the first three quarters of play and went into halftime down by 27.

The second half was more of the same as the Knights were outmatched by one of the top teams in the country. The Warriors continued expanding their lead, ultimately coming away with a 79-35 victory.

Alexa Mee led the way for the Knights, recording 7 points, 6 rebounds and 2 steals.

The loss gives the Knights a final record of 3-24 for the 2022-23 season. Warner Pacific women's basketball will be back in action next year when they look to improve upon this season.
