Admist another two loses, Warner Improves

Warner lost boh games again today to the Fighting Saints of Carroll College but there was massive improvement from game one to game two. Final score of game one was 10-1 and the final in game two was 7-5.

Game 1
Carroll College continued where they left off yesterday wasting no time putting runs up on the board scoring five in the first two innings and ten runs overall. The scoring included a solo blast from sophomore Amber Countryman who poked a beauty over the right field wall. The lone run for the Knights was scored by Jessie Ramirez on a double by Jordyn Rosario.

Game 2
The second game with the Saints scoring seven runs in the first two innings with the first three runs being a three run homer by Alyssa Lybert. After the seven runs were scored Abby Carlson came into pitch after pitching a full game yesterday and was absolute nails. She pitched 5 innings of only 3 hit ball while only walking one batter along the way. She did however have some help from third baseman Sammie Brauckmiller who made some spectacular plays.Brauckmiller's best play was in the third inning where Carroll's Haylee Curry hit a fast ground ball straight to the hot corner where Braukmiller was able to dive full extended to her left to pluck the ball out of the air and record the out over at first. The defense from the Knights kept the score at seven until the Knights finally picked up their offense and boy did they pick it up in a big way. It started in the 4th when Emma Foster used the help of the wind blowing out to right to ride one out of the ballpark for a solo shot. Things really got serious in the 6th when Emma Foster once again came up and delivered another huge homer that plated three to cut the lead down to two. Unfortunately, they weren't able to rally in the 7th to complete the comeback but they showed some major fight that hopefully they can carry on to next week.

Your Knights will be at Corban University to start a four game set on Friday, March 10-11 playing a doubleheader on both days in Salem Oregon.
