The Knights Drop Game Three In the Elements

West Linn, Ore
The Knights lost game three of their series against the University of British Columbia 13-4 in five innings. Weather was an issue all day. It was a classic Portland day where it would pour down rain and then have bouts of sunshine before continuing to rain.

Game 1
Warner Pacific lost the game but the Knights bats lit up in the fourth inning with five hits resulting in four runs. The rally started with a Sammie Brauckmiller double to right center. Jessie Ramirez then advanced Brauckmiller to second on a fielders choice to the Thunderbirds pitcher. Freshman, Jovita Laloulu, brought Brauckmiller in with a ringing single into center field. The Knights then proceeded to load the bases with a Kasside Bukoski walk, and an Ashley Hawkins single to center field. With two outs, pinch-hitter Marin Bliss, singled to center driving in Laloulu. Emma Foster then hit yet another single to drive in Hawkins and Bukoski. Unfortunately, on the single, Emma was caught in a rundown between first and second and got tagged out. Good thing was that the out was recorded after the two runs had scored so she still got credited with a base hit and two RBIs on the play.

On an impressive note, Thunderbirds, Shae Sever, very nearly hit for the cycle coming a single shy of hitting that mark.

Game 2
The second game was ultimately canceled due to the rain and wind.

Next Up
The Knights will be on the road next weekend as they hit up the University of Providence for a four-game set over in Great Falls, Montana. They will return home the following weekend to face Bushnell University.
