Warner Ends Season in Eastern Oregon

La Grande, Ore-
The Knights lost the last two games of their season today in La Grande, Oregon against the Mountaineers of Eastern Oregon by scores of 2-0 and  4-0.

Game One
Warner Pacific kept this one close holding the Mountaineers scoreless through five innings. Abby Carlson pitched a great game only giving up five hits and two runs both earned. She struck out eight and walked just one. The Knights had two hits on the day both by leadoff hitter, Ashley Hawkins. She had a single to center in the first to start the game and an infield base hit to the shortstop in the third. The Mountaineers were able to squeak out two runs in the sixth and that was the difference.

Game Two
The Knights had five hits in the second game of the day. Emma Foster, Jessie Ramirez, Marin Bliss, and Christina Barrett all had hits on the day. Barrett led the way with two. Emma Foster had an infield hit to the pitcher in the first inning; Ramirez singled to center in the second inning; Barrett doubled to right center in the third and singled to center in the fifth; and Bliss doubled to right field in the sixth.

Seasons End
Today's games marked the end of the Knights season. They finished with an overall record of 4-35 and with a conference record of 4-26. Keep a look out on the athletic website this upcoming week with a story highlighting the season that was.
