PORTLAND, OR | The Warner Pacific women's soccer team fell to Oregon Tech today by a final score of 3-0 on a hot day at Eastside Timbers Complex.
The Knights started the game on the defensive letting Oregon Tech be in their zone quite a bit. The first goal of the game was scored by the Owls, Kiana Jacobson, in the 16
th minute. It didn't take long after the first goal for the Owls to get their second goal when Kiana Jacobson scored again with the assist going to Briana Lewis in the 18
th minute. The final goal of the game was scored again by Kiana Jacobson who earned herself the hat-trick in the 56
th minute.
The Knights shot 11 total shots which included 6 on net. Oregon Tech had 15 total shots and all but one of those were on goal. Knights goalkeeper was very busy saving 11 shots and letting 3 goals in. Owls goalkeeper, Sydni Nakamura, was sensational saving six shots and allowing none in the back of the net.
"Tough loss today following a solid performance yesterday," Head Coach, Justan Wolvert said. "We weren't good enough in a few key moments which were the difference in the game. We're looking forward to the opportunity ahead of us to learn from our mistakes and to learn from our mistakes, get back to the training ground, and rebound on the road next weekend."
