Rocklin, CA. | The Warner Pacific Women's Soccer team lost today to William Jessup University today at the California Sports Park facility.
The Knights lost by a final score of 2-1 to drop to 2-2 on the season. The one goal of the game came from longtime Knight,
Brin Wolvert in the 56
th minute assisted by
Shalece Easley.
The Knights had 13 shots but were only able to get three of them on goal resulting in just the one goal. William Jessup had 14 shots with seven of them going towards the net scoring just two.
Kate Pomerinke started her first game of the year in goal this afternoon giving up both goals and saving five shots.
"We had several chances early in the game we didn't convert on that would have given us some early confidence," Head Coach, Justan Wolvert, said. "We played well enough to win but weren't good enough in the attacking or defensive thirds on the day."
The Warriors starting goalkeeper, Lilliana Fenn, played the first half and made 2 saves on the day giving up no goals. The Warriors made a change in the second half and put Madeline Jern in at goal and she gave up the Knights only goal of the game.
"We're looking forward to the opportunity to rebound tomorrow," Wolvert said.
