Knights Win On Last Second Penalty Kick

Men's soccer took a big win against the Bushnell Beacons due to two last minute goals. After the Knight's loss to Multnomah last week, today felt like a must win. The final score was 2-1 with both of the Knights goals being scored after the 85th minute of play.

The first goal was scored by Freshman Craig Stephenson. This was his first goal of his collegiate career. The goal was assisted by Freshman Sergio Varela, which marked his first assist of his career. The second goal for the Knights was a penalty kick scored at 89:45 just 15 seconds before the clock ran out. This goal was by Pedro (Bodo) Calderon and solidified the Knights a win. The Knights were also able to rack up 10 shots with 5 of them on goal.

The Knights will take on Corban University tomorrow at 2:30pm for their final game at home of the season. This final match will also be Senior Day as the team and University will take time to honor those who are graduating for their hard work and dedication they have put in as a Warner Pacific Knight.
