Knights Win Big on Senior Night

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – February 24th, 2024

Portland, Ore.| The Knights celebrated Senior Day today and said goodbye to Mark Wishom, Caleb-Tyree Morgan, Chris Murphy, Maxwell Moses, Colton Gorski, and Josiah Castillo. The sendoff was a huge success as the Knights discarded of the Eagles by a final score of 102-69.

The Knights who had a tough season came out tonight and played with their hair on fire dominating the game from wire to wire with their largest lead being 37 late in the second half. The Eagles held the lead only once and it was a small 3 point lead early on in the contest. The Knights scored more points tonight than any of the other games this season even though they shot just 44.9% from the field. The reason they scored so many points with that percentage is due to their three point shooting. The Knights shot 14-35 from distance good enough for 40%.

Senior Mark Wishom led the Knights in scoring tonight scoring 16 points, securing 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals filling up the stat sheet in a big way. Seniors Caleb-Tyree Morgan and Chris Murphy checked in with 14 points each. Sherman Royal III helped the Knights out with 10 points and 7 boards. Seniors Josiah Castillo and Maxwell Moses each had 10 points. Maxwell Moses had another double double tonight adding 10 boards to go with his 10 points.

This was the final game of the season for the Knights who finish with a 5-23 overall record including 3-19 in conference play. The Knights ended the season strong winning 3 out of their last 4 games including the last two games of the season. They finished the season on a high note and will now head into the offseason to get better and improve on their game for next season.
