Knights Dominate On Senior Day

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – February 24th, 2024
 
Portland, Ore.| The Knights celebrated Senior Day today and said goodbye to Teirra Hicks, Emily Brown, Laurie Cren, Larsa Guzman, Serena Sanchez, and Noah Harris. The Knights celebrated them before the game and sent them home very happy blowing out Northwest University 93-58.
 
The Knights won this game from wire to wire never trailing in this game and lead by as much as 39 points late in the fourth quarter. Senior Teirra Hicks had a huge game scoring 27 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 big assists. Emily Brown had a double double scoring 15 points and securing 10 rebounds. Brown also added 4 assists, 1 block, and 2 steals on the day as well. Laurie Cren was another senior that had a big game on Senior Day. Cren finished with 15 points, 6 boards, and 1 assist. The trend of great Senior Day play continued when another senior Larsa Guzman scored 12 points, 3 boards, and 1 steal. Serena Sanchez checked in with 9 points on her Senior Day adding 4 assists, 1 rebound, and 2 steals. Senior Noah Harris had a solid day as well checking in with 4 points, 6 boards, and 2 assists. All the seniors contributed heavily towards this dominating win for the Knights.
 
The Knights as a team shot 50.8% from the field and shot very well from three point land making 8 of their 18 attempts from deep. The Knights who had struggled mightily yesterday from the charity stripe came back today and righted that wrong shooting 19-22 from the line good enough for 86.4% from the line.
 
This was the final game for the Knights and what a final game it was. It was a tough season for the Knights but they ended the year in a way that made everyone proud and should be commended for a job well done.
