FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – March 30

Caldwell, Idaho.| The Knights played two more against the College of Idaho today and lost both games.
Game One
The Yotes scored early and often scoring 5 runs in both the first and the second inning. The first inning saw the Yotes hit a grand slam and the second inning saw a two run blast.
Kili Makanani,
Nia Tate, and
Briana Munoz each took a turn pitching in this one combining to give up 17 runs on 12 hits. The final score was 17-0.
The Knights at the plate earned one hit on the day in the form of a
Jordyn Rosario single down the right field line. Rosario almost had the only hit of the first game yesterday on a bunt in the first inning but it was later changed to an error to the pitcher. Rosario has been playing well this year batting .239 with 17 hits on the season.
Game Two
The Knights in game were much more productive offensively outputting 7 hits. Unfortunately, that only resulted in 2 runs but still that is huge progress considering how the rest of the series had gone. The Yotes scored 6 runs on 9 hits.
The Knights scored both their runs in the top of the seventh inning. The Knights started the inning with
Marin Bliss reaching on a fielding error,
Maddie Gamble and
Kili Makanani each walked loading the bases up.
Jovita Laloulu then hit a sacrifice fly to centerfield scoring Bliss from third. During that play, Makanani got out in a rundown which in return gave Gamble the chance to score which she did.
Hannah Stone started the game and went two innings giving up 4 runs only 2 of which were earned.
Abby Carlson pitched the last four innings of the game and pitched very well striking out 7 and giving up 2 runs both earned on 9 hits.
