La Grande, Ore.| With a 103-78 loss to Eastern Oregon University the Knights moved their overall record to 8-7 on the season. The Knights were able to battle and keep the game close during the first 10 minutes of the first half, but Eastern Oregon was able to string together points and stay just ahead of the Knights for the rest of the game. Team wise, the Knight's were able to put in 28 baskets from the field and 11 shots from beyond the arc. They out-rebounded the Mountaineers with 39, 15 of which were offensive. The Knights also created 20 points off the bench, 10 turnovers and six steals over the course of the game.
From an individual standpoint the Knights saw double digits from five players. Terrin Dickey led in points with 17 and rebounds with nine. He was followed by Nzube Mekkam who had his career high of 15 along with Vincent Warren and Mason Savery who both had 12. Last but not least was Jurrien Sparks who scored 11 points for the Knights which kept them within striking distance during the game.
Next Up
The Knights will continue their road trip tomorrow, January 18th in Caldwell, ID against The College of Idaho at 4pm. The Knights will then return home for their Hoopin for the Homeless campaign on January 24th and 25th. On Friday, the Knights will take on Bushnell University at 7:30pm following the Women's game. Then on Saturday the 25th the Warriors from Corban University will enter C.C Perry Gym. Tip off is set for 5pm.
