Knights Lose in Three Sets to Red Hot Wolves But Look Competitive

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – October 25th, 2025

Portland, Ore.| Warner Pacific University Volleyball took on Walla Walla University and in a hard fought battle fell short in three sets to the red hot Wolves.

The visiting Walla Walla quickly found its rhythm and won all 3 sets with scores being 25-19, 25-21,25-17. This win was all led by Sarah Browning who had 13 kills followed by Paula Flores who had nine of her own. Despite this win from Walla Walla the Knights showed up today making this game a great show from start to finish.

Tayah-Anne Toa led the Knights with five kills. Defensively, Nicole Nikiforets had a stellar day with three huge blocks on attacks from powerful Wolves hitters. Pa'oakalani Payne-Kaeo had a nice run of three aces, and setter Audrey Histed hustled for ten assists and eight digs. Warner Pacific competed hard in the third set, keeping the score tight before Walla Walla closed the night with a 25-17 final. Though the Knights couldn't quite grasp their first win they battled and persevered showing how they can compete as a unit.
