Dillon, Mont.| Knights Men's Basketball starting their season today with a non-conference game against Montana Western out of the Frontier Athletic Conference and lost by a final score of 90-66.
The Knights had a tough opening day from the field making 20-62 attempts good enough for 32.3 percent. From beyond the arc, the Knights were 6-22 good enough for 27.3 percent. Jurrien Sparks was a solid bright spot for the Knights scoring 26 points in 28 minutes of action shooting 50% from the field including going 3-5 from beyond the arc. The Knights as a team were pretty solid from the charity stripe going 20-26 good enough for 76.9 percent.
The Bulldogs, having already played a game on the young season, looked like they had worked some of the kinks out that the Knights haven't had the opportunity to do quite yet. Montana Western shot 50 percent from the field. MWU made a big effort of living behind the three-point line attempting 27 shots making nine of them.

The Knights start the season off with a loss but can't dwell on it too much as they play again tomorrow versus Montana Tech at Straugh Gymnasium with tip scheduled for 12pm.
