Portland, Ore.| In today's match, the Warner Pacific Women's Soccer team took on Southern Oregon University and took a 2-0 loss.
Southern Oregon University took the win over the Knights this evening. They came in with some extra motivation as they are hunting to improve their playoff spot.
Southern Oregon's first goal was in the 20th minute when Abby McKean finished the shot with the assist from Tori Lasch giving the Raiders an early lead. The team continued to apply pressure throughout, finally in the 79th minute, Frida Vargas found the back of the net to seal the result. Goalkeeper Brittany Standley recorded three saves in the shutout win.
The Knights had a rough day on offense and struggled to find shots. Defensively, they were solid but the Raiders were able to break through with a total of 12 shots on goal. However, there to save the Knights and keep them in striking distance was
Kate Pomerinke, making 10 saves to help the Knights out.

With the season coming to a close, the Warner Pacific Women's Soccer team hosts their senior day this Sunday at 10:30am. This match will be held at the Eastside Timbers Sports Complex and will face Oregon Tech as they try to get one more win to finish this season on a high note.
