FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – November 15th, 2025

Redding, Calif.| The Warner Pacific Women's basketball team secured their first win this season on the road and dominated against Pacific Union College. The final score was 77-39.

Warner Pacific controlled the game from start to finish, defeating Pacific Union 77–39. The key factor tonight was the bench contributed 38 points and the team out rebounded Pacific Union 55-27, creating numerous second-chance opportunities.

Alex Saunders led Warner Pacific with a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds while KJ Custer had 11 points followed by Bryten Gumke with 10 points to round out the Knights that had double figures. The Knights put up 13 three-pointers, shooting at a 31% clip. Their defensive pressure forced Pacific Union into difficult shots all night, holding them to just 22.8% shooting from the field and only three made three-pointers.

"Good team win tonight," Head Coach Jimmy Smith said. "It was enjoyable to see multiple aspects build and grow. We have a tough game coming up so it's time to get some sleep and get ready."

Pacific Union struggled offensively, with Mataya Amen-Sherman scoring a team-high eight points on 1-18 shooting but going 6-for-7 from the free-throw line. Raven James and Victoria Fowler each with seven points, but overall the team's offense was unable to counter Warner.
