Kirkland, Wash.| Warner Pacific University Volleyball team finished their season today in Washington and in the final matchup hoped to garnish a win against Northwest University. The Knights unfortunately would lose in three sets.
Northwest University delivered a dominant performance in a sweep over the Knights, winning 25-8, 25-20, and 25-12. The Eagles led by Kalli Budge's 10 kills and Kaitlyn Mickle's 8. Morgan Harter dominated with 26 assists. Defensively, Ellie Van Berkum had 17 digs.
Warner Pacific battled hard in the second set but struggled to break through. Nicole Nikiforets led the Knights with 6 kills and added a block, while Pa'oakalani Payne-Kaeo added 13 assists and 11 digs, Along with Angel Camagay getting her own 8 digs.
Next Up
The Knights will finish this season with an 0-21 overall record and an 0-20 conference record. Even though the record isn't what anyone was expecting, there were a lot of great moments and individual highlights for the Knights. Pa'Oakalani Payne-Kaeo finished the year with 168 assists and Tayah-Anne Toa had a great year with 90 kills. The Knights will regroup and learn from this season and will be back next year with a clean slate.
