Parkland, Wash.| The Warner Pacific Men's basketball team went on the road to face off against Pacific Lutheran University and with a contest that went down to the buzzer, the Knights would ultimately lose 64-61.
In this close game, the Knights scoring was very spread out with four players going over double digits.
Josh Lincoln and
Terrin Dickey each went for 14 points while
Jevon Blackmore got 13 going 3-4 from distance. It was Blackmore's first game of the season with the Knights coming back from an eligibility hold.
Jurrien Sparks chipped in 12 points along with seven rebounds. Warner Pacific struggled offensively in the first half shooting just 30.6% from the field but the men responded with a much sharper second half performance at 50% shooting to keep the game close.
Pacific Lutheran secured the win behind Charlie Kapranos who led all scorers with 17 points and 10 rebounds while Caleb Berry contributed 16 points. The Lutes 3-point shooting in the second half was crucial, hitting 7-of-13 from distance, which proved to be the difference in a game that remained close until the buzzer.
Next Up
After taking the loss, The Knights will take a break from the regular season to play an exhibition against Seattle University who is a NCAA team from the West Coast Conference (WCC). This contest will take place tomorrow and will be streamed live on ESPN+. The Knights will then continue their regular season with a conference match against Walla Walla University on December 18th at 6pm at CC Perry Gymnasium.
