Portland, Ore.| In their second to last home game of the regular season, the Knights Women's Basketball squad fell 72-54 against the College of Idaho Yotes.Â
The first half was all Yotes as they went to the locker room up 43-18. In the second half the Knights showed some heart on Valentine's Day scoring 36 points in the second half with 21 of those points in the fourth quarter.
As a team the Knights found their struggle within the offensive category shooting 34% from the field and 26% from three. Defensively, the Knights were able to secure 38 rebounds, and create 10 Yotes turnovers. From the bench the Knights saw 23 points.
On a scoring front the Knights were led by Junior Skylar Groesbeck who had 11. She was followed by Junior Paityn Rhode who had nine points. On the defensive front, the Knights were led by Sophomore Alex Saunders who had five rebounds with one steal.
Next Up
The Knights will play their final home game of the regular season tomorrow afternoon against Eastern Oregon University. The game is set to start at 3pm with Senior Day events beforehand. Following the Senior day festivities, the Knights will play their final two regular season games. The first will be at Southern Oregon University at 5:30pm in Ashland, Oregon. The final game of the regular season will be in Klamath Falls against the Owls of Oregon Tech. Tip is set for 3pm.
