Salem, Ore.| Baseball fell to Corban in their first two games of conference play. The first game finished early after the ten run rule after seven innings was implemented when the Warriors "walked" it off 13-3 and the second finished game finished 7-2. Both games started off strong but faded as the game extended into later innings
GAME ONE
In game one, the Knights went up early in the second leading 3-1. However, due to two five run innings in the third and fifth, the Knights were unable to come back.Â
Shortstop Connor Hale led the Knights in RBI's for the first game with two, and he was helped by catcher Giovanny Alvillar who had a hit and an RBI during the game. On the mound, the Knights gave the nod to Ayden Yaeger who logged three Corban Strikeouts during his start.Â
GAME TWO
In game two, the Knights found themselves down early and looking to battle back. In the 8th inning they were down 3-2 and had a solid rally going but was unable to push a run across and complete the comeback.Â
Offensively, the Knights were led by Connor Hale who had two hits and NeaCoali Winston who had a hit, an RBI, and one run. On the mound, the Knights were led by Senior Josiah Nickel who went six innings, logging five strikeouts.Â
Next Up
The Knights will continue their road trip against Corban University tomorrow afternoon. Game One is set to start at 11am with game two following with a 2pm start time. Both games are to take place at Volcano stadium in Salem, Oregon.
