Knights Finish Last Saturday's Slate With Split

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - February 26th, 2025

Salem, Ore.| In an interesting rain delay makeup, the Knights lost their non-conference game to Corban University 12-8. This game started on Saturday February 22nd. The game got to the bottom of the fourth inning and was then halted for rain. This meant that the Knights would return to Salem and finish the final five and one third innings of play.

As the game resumed, Corban began with two outs and runners on the corners. One run was scored before the Knights collected a final out which gave them an 11-4 lead. However, the Knights battled back scoring three in the fifth and one in the eighth. However, it was not enough to create a comeback against the lead the Warriors had created on the 22nd.

Offensively, the Knights were led by Colby Barnes who had a home run and three RBI's. He was helped by Ashkon Rafhi-Shirpak who had a hit and two walks, along with Julius King who had a hit and three walks. King also pitched for 3.1 innings of the game giving up zero earned runs and walking only one batter.

Future Games
The Knights will move back into conference play this weekend against Bushnell University. The first two games of the weekend are set for Friday the 28th at 12 and 3pm. The second two games are the following Saturday at 11am and 2pm. All four games are to take place at Milwaukie High School.
