Milwaukie, Ore.| Knights Baseball lost their first two games of four against the University of British Columbia with final scores of 12-0 and 8-4.Â
In game one the Thunderbirds added on runs little by little and in game two they did the same.
Game one
Game one was the Thunderbirds all the way, as they scored in every inning but three during the course of the game.
Ayden Yaeger did all he could in seven innings, giving up only three earned runs. Hitting wise,
Shawn Hunt hit his fourth double of the season which increased his batting average to .267 on the year.
Game two
In game two the Knights went down early, trailing 6-1 going into the fifth inning. In the sixth, the Thunderbirds put up two more, but the Knights responded with one of their own. Then in the ninth, the Knights got a rally going, but still short four runs of the win.
At the plate, multiple Knights had multi-hit games.
Mitchell Thoma-Britt and Matthew Revels both had three hits with
Connor Hale and
Mason Deverna both putting up two. On the mound,
Shawn Hunt came in relief for three innings, allowing no runs with a strike out and only two hits.Â
Up next
The Knights will play two more games against the University of British Columbia tomorrow at Milwaukie High School. First pitch is set for 11am and 2pm. Following this home series the Knights will head to Lewiston, Idaho to play Lewis-Clark State College in a four game series. The games are set for Saturday, April 5th and Sunday, April 6th.
