FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - March 29th, 2025
Milwaukie, Ore.| In their second set of double headers, Knights Baseball ended the series in a sweep losing both to the University of British Columbia.Â
The final score of game one was 12-2 with game two ending 10-2. Overall, the Knights struggled to get the bats going and hope to turn it around as the season winds down.
Game one
In game one the Knights went down early in the first inning and were unable to score enough to strike back against the Thunderbirds. Individually, Mitchell Thoma-Britt and Matthew Revels both added two more hits and an RBI to their season totals. While on the mound, Mason Deverna got the nod and pitched well, giving up four earned runs.
Game two
In game two the Knights came out swinging, putting up two in the first and holding the Thunderbirds for a few innings. Then in the top of the third the Thunderbirds scored two of their own, and the game stayed tied at 2-2 for a majority of the game. However, the Thunderbirds found a late rally and put up eight in the top of the ninth to secure the win.
Even though the result did not go the way the Knights wanted, a few individuals stood out. In his first game back from injury, Collin Schiller totaled three hits and both of the Knights RBI's for the day. On the mound Connor Hale did all he could, going seven innings with three strikeouts and only two earned runs.
Up Next

The final road series of the regular season will be the following weekend in Klamath Falls, Oregon against Oregon Tech, with the four games to take place on April 11th and April 12th.
