Knights Drop Final Two At Oregon Tech

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - April 12th, 2025

Klamath Falls, Ore.| The Warner Pacific Knights baseball team played their last two games against Oregon Tech today losing both by scores of 15-14 and 15-5.

Game One
The Knights in game one battled hard till the end until unfortunately they were walked-off on a suicide squeeze by the Owls. The Knights however had a great day offensively with their 14 runs coming off of 17 hits. Mason Deverna, Collin Schiller, and Mitchell Thoma-Britt each led the way with three hits. The most amazing thing about the offensive input that the Knights put out is that they got all those runs without hitting a single home run. All but three Knights batters that recorded an at-bat had a hit in the game with five batters having more than one.

Josiah Nickel got the start on the bump for the Knights going 5.1 innings giving up 10 runs (6 earned) on 11 hits.

Game Two
The Knights in game two unfortunately saw their offense sputter after a weekend of great hitting. The Knights did end up with nine hits but most of them came late in the ballgame when the game was all but over. The Knights had one run until the seventh inning when they scored four runs to extend the game to the bottom of the inning. Trenten Lowe and Giovanny Alvillar led the way for the Knights in hitting with two hits each.

Connor Hale got the start for the Knights going five innings giving up eight runs in which only two were earned.

Next Up
The Knights will have a fast turnaround playing this upcoming Tuesday the 15th against local NCAA Lewis & Clark College. First pitch is set for 3:30pm at Huston Sports Complex.
