Portland, Ore.| The Warner Pacific Knights lost a game against NCAA DIII Lewis & Clark College today by a final score of 15-8.
The Knights went up early 4-0 with Alex Nisbet, Jarrod Seibel, and Connor Hale picking up hits driving up runs. Hale's hit in the second inning was an absolute blast to left field for a two run home run. The Knights then went quiet for three innings while the Pioneers scored seven unanswered runs having a 7-4 lead going into the sixth inning.Â
The Knights then hung a three spot in the sixth inning tying the game up at seven. Skyler Roque-Sunahara started the scoring in the frame with an RBI single up the middle. Connor Hale then reached first on an error, scoring another run and then Collin Schiller singled to left.
Unfortunately, the Pioneers came back in their half of the sixth inning scoring two runs to retake the lead and then followed it up with a six spot in the seventh inning. Jarrod Seibel brought in his second RBI of the game in the top of the ninth inning bringing the score to 15-8 but it wasn't enough to spark a comeback.
