Knights Celebrate Senior Day Lose Two to Warriors

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - April 26th, 2025

Aurora, Ore.| In the final two games of the conference season, the Warner Pacific Knights Baseball squad lost both games to the hands of the Corban Warriors by final scores of 6-3 and 9-5.

Game One
The Knights in game one scored three runs on just four hits. Alex Nisbet, Mitchell Thoma-Britt, Trenten Lowe, and Colby Barnes each had hits. The biggest hit of the game came from Lowe who hit another signature home run to left field for his third home run of the season all pointed out to left field.

Mason Deverna got the start on the bump for the Knights and pitched very well, giving up three runs in which just two were earned and striking out six. The one thing that Deverna did struggle with was keeping the Warriors off the bases via walks. Deverna walked seven Warriors. As a team, the Warriors drew 11 walks. The Knights had a rally going in the bottom of the ninth getting the bases loaded but unfortunately the game ended on a Thoma-Britt ground out to second base.

Game Two
The Knights in game two once again were held to just four hits all by similar characters in game one. Nisbet, Thoma-Britt, and Lowe had hits with Lowe having two of them. The Knights did draw a bunch of walks though earning ten of them over the course of nine innings. The Warriors slammed ten hits touching up Knights starting pitcher Connor Hale for seven earned runs en route to a 9-5 win.

Next Up
The Knights will finish up the season on May 5th up in Seattle against the Washington Huskies out of the B1G10. The game will be at Husky Ballpark and will be televised on B1G+ Network starting at 6:30pm.
