Noe Barawis Ties Steal Record in Losses to Bushnell

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - April 26th, 2025

Milwaukie, Ore.| In the final two games of the 2025 season, the Warner Pacific Knights Softball squad lost both games to the hands of the Bushnell Beacons by final scores of 4-3 and 4-1.

Game One
The Knights had seven hits with the biggest ones being two blasts from Nikki O'Reilly and Kili Makanani. Those home runs were back to back to lead off the second inning both being solo shots. The other run for the Knights came from Senior Briana Munoz driving in a run. The Beacons also had seven hits but theirs were a little more timely bringing in that extra run to give the Beacons a 4-3 victory.

Makanani started her final game of the season and went all seven innings giving up just three runs and striking out a whopping nine batters.

Game Two
The Knights in game two had six hits but unfortunately they weren't able to string too many together to drive in runs. The lone run in the game came off the bat of Hailey Ferguson who hit a single to center field plating Noe Barawis. Munoz got her final hit of her Knights career in this game as well.

Noe Barawis had three more stolen bases today which brings her season total to 55 which ties her with Kelsey Randall 2018 for the most stolen bases in a single season since the conference became a part of the NAIA in 1993. Not only did Barawis have 55 stolen bases but she did it in 55 attempts. Nobody threw her out all season long.

Wrap Up
The Knights finished with an overall record of 13-32 and a conference record of 9-17. This is the first time that the Knights have finished with double digit wins since the 2021 season. This team is improving year in an year out and will return a lot of talent from this years team and will continue to add new players to push the team even further.
